Im a wholeseller, im buying item “a” for 5c, I sell the item to 2 different retailers at different costs of 10c to retailer 1 and 15c to retailer 2. How do I load these costs on the system?
Hi, which is the best way to setup inventory items for a catering service that manufactures a variety of cakes for sales, but still wants to be able to monitor ingredients used during production and the sales of cakes (quantities and values)?
You would have to create a new Item and choose INVENTORY ASSEMBLY and take the time to properly setup each cake to its ingredients.
I am a new business owner who sells crafting items (personalized items mainly with vinyl, sublimation items and t-shirts designed with heat transfer vinyl and sublimation.) I am trying to set up my inventory using all my expense receipts for items I have purchased. I am stuck on trying to figure out if I should set items up with parent categories, sub categories assembly items etc. For example if I create a personalized 16 oz tumbler, should I do a parent category for drinkware, then a sub category for the 16 oz tumbler and then an assembly item for all the materials used to make that item? I will have different types of drinkware offered like 20oz tumblers, wine glasses, mugs etc. Is there any support/videos/tutorials or a person who could help me get started? example of the process for some items: drink ware-personalized wedding favors i used stemless wine glasses: materials used were vinyl, transfer tape, celophane wrap and ribbon. personalized frame: i use a glass frame and personalize it with the same items. t-shirts: I use t-shirts I buy wholesale, decorate with either heat transfer vinyl or use sublimation ink and paper, heat press. I am stuck on how I should do my inventory for all of this. I don’t have a book keeper yet to ask all these questions. Thank you in advance for any help, tips, videos you could offer.”.btw i use quickbooks online
Currently QuickBooks Online does not have the capability of tracking inventory assemblies, as when items are created or assembled from other inventory parts. For example, a business might construct an item from multiple pieces that they purchase separately, or it might repackage some items in smaller quantities while possibly combining with other items to complete the assembly.
