Recording Transactions in Quickbooks Online 2013

Income List Transactions:

Helps Track Customer Estimates, Invoices, Sales Receipts and all other transactions.

Top Bar, will give you summary of Unbilled, Unpaid and Paid Invoices.

This helps filter Search Queries By Clicking on one of those sections.
Even more detailed Filter Options right below.

Batch Action Button below lets you select a single or multiple items to create an action.

Action Steps:

-Create an Estimate
a. Select a customer
b. Choose Item and Fill in the rest
c. Save it – It will take you back to Income List

-Create Invoice
a. In Actions Steps Click on Estimates Icon
b. On the Right Side under Action – Accept the invoice (Optional)
c. Then Copy to New Invoice
d. Fill in the rest of information and save it.
e. Save it – It will take you back to Income List

-Receive Payments
a. In Actions Steps Click on Estimates Icon
b. Select Invoice and have different options
c. Mainly you will receive payments
d. Fill in rest of information.
e. Save it.

-Other Transaction
a. Sales Receipt – Income list or customer menu
b. Customer Charges – for clients that accrue charges. Can generate a bill to hand over to them for the charges they accrued.
c. Credit Memo, Credits and Refunds.
d. Time Activity – You Do not need payroll for this. You can enter as single activity or weekly timesheet. This is so you can track billable time to clients.
