Inventory Adjustments in Quickbooks

To adjust inventory on hand go to Vendors; Inventory Activities; Adjust Inventory/Value on Hand.  You must be in Single User Mode to adjust inventory.

To add serial numbers you go to the item you set up for that inventory and enter it in the Manufacturer’s Part Number field.  You can do an entire sheet of them at once when you go to Lists, Add/Enter Multiple List Entries.

There is an entire Inventory Center under Inventory Activites also where you can easily get to reports needed for inventory.

QuickBooks automatically adjusts for inventory when you enter the inventory item in a bill or a Sales Receipt.  You do not have to do it manually.
